Day-to-Day Responsibilities
This role centres on tutoring students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) and Social, Emotional, Mental Health (SEMH) challenges. You’ll plan and deliver sessions in core subjects such as English, Maths, or Science, typically for children and young adults.
You will support your assigned pupils with structured, trauma-informed learning, offering both tuition and mentoring to help them engage with education. Much of the work is very hands-on and tailored to individual needs.
Record-keeping is crucial: documenting lessons, feedback and progress after each session is standard. The workload varies depending on your availabilities and proximity to students.
Support is available from the company, including mentoring, a CPD suite, and assistance from a SEND support team to ensure both you and every young person receive targeted help.
